Session 11 (Nov 22) - Projects and their presentations

Teachers always create a lot of materials for a unit. When we want to use the materials during lessons, the normal ways will be printing them out, saving them in a USB disk or in the school server and digging them out in the lessons. No matter how fast we can show the materials  to students, students do not have access to them. Using a padlet wall to display all the materials and then share the link to students is an excellent way to let students get access to the learning materials after the lessons.

As I have an English learning blog for my P4 students, I can even embed the padlet wall in a post so that students can look at it once they visit my blog. This is the padlet wall I learnt to create tonight.

It is common for teachers to make powerpoints when teaching grammar items. Students also learn how to use powerpoints for presentation. Powerpoint is good in the sense that it is user-friendly and we can add animation within a slide and so on. However, it is quite boring.

Prezi is a tool similar to powerpoint but more visually appealing and more dynamic. It is also as user-friendly as powerpoint. What I like Prezi most is that it starts with an overview (though it's a bit small) and then goes into different parts one by one.  I have made a Prezi presentation which I may use when teaching the next unit.
