The first one we have learnt to use is Quizlet. What is good about Quizlet is that students can learn a word with its definition or a picture of the word. Then, students can try using different functions to test if they have mastered the vocabulary. However, the most amazing and effective function is we don't need to record the pronunciation of the words!!!!!!! The system will automatically read them out once it knows the words are English words!!!!! Here is the quizlet word deck I have made, which is about Hong Kong and I will try to use it later when I teach this unit.
The second one we have tried is the wonderful but user-friendly 'https://bubbl.us/'. The bubbles of the mind are expandable and collapsible which make the usage during the lesson more flexible. This is the one I have made for teaching quantity of noun phrases.
